IEM Rio Major Champions Stage Fantasy game now open to play

Build your dream team and compete against the best ahead of the last phase of the Major.

The Legends Stage came to an end on Tuesday, bringing a temporary break to the action and drama at the Major. Out of the original 24 teams that arrived in Brazil in late October, only eight remain after two unforgiving Swiss-style groups, which saw giants such as FaZe and Vitality fall.

The action will resume on Thursday with the Champion Stage, in which the remaining teams will fight it out in a single-elimination bracket for the lion's share of $1,250,000 and the most prestigious trophy in the Counter-Strike calendar.

A final edition of the HLTV Fantasy game will accompany the last stage of the tournament as the remaining teams compete in one of the most open Majors to date. The HLTV x Roobet League will allow users to compete for skin prizes as well as points in the Fall Season 2022 Fantasy Leaderboard.

Cloud9 players make their appearance in the most popular Fantasy picks after a flawless campaign in the Legends Stage. Vladislav "⁠nafany⁠" Gorshkov was a top ten performer in the previous phase of the Major with a 1.23 average rating over the four maps played, and a price tag of just $185,000 propelled him to the top of the charts in terms of pick rate.

Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov ($199,000) and Timofey "⁠interz⁠" Yakushin ($183,000) are also popular names for this edition of the game with more than 800 picks each. Dmitry "⁠sh1ro⁠" Sokolov and Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev also sport a high pick rate, despite displaying the highest price tag in this edition of the Fantasy game at $231,000.

Kaike "⁠KSCERATO⁠" Cerato is the only Brazilian to make an appearance in the popular picks despite his teammate Yuri "⁠yuurih⁠" Santos showing a lower price of $208,000 and the highest rating in the Legends stage at 1.42.

Users should keep an eye out for Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali, as the Russian AWPer and IGL recorded a 1.30 rating in the second group stage of the tournament, and with a price tag of $205,000, he could turn out to be a valuable asset in your team.
